Genie
A prize I made for MistyTang the third place winner in the Nivvixian contest. She requested her character Gene the Genie. I wanted him to glow in the dark, he turned out really well. Unfortunately the background was done kind of quickly but I really love how the character turned out!

Nivvixian Commtest
The Nivvixian Commtest hosted by Zimeta08 from DeviantArt. It was basically an anthro contest. The Nivvixians are a race of anthro insects that live in the world of, you guessed it, Nivvix. The rules were to select an insect, select a job and get to it! I did two entries which you guys have seen, the Deathwatch Beatle Inventor and the Paper Wasp Coroner.
My placing piece was the paper Wasp Coroner, earning second place. I have to say I'm pretty pleased as I was up against some tough competition.
First place was Nora the Nanny by missuspatches. A beautiful piece with a real gentle storybook feel. Not only is the art engaging (with that totally unique format) but she came up with a story and named every Nivvixian in the piece!
Second place was the coroner.

Cockroach Fry Cook
This guy has a wonderful story, struggling with his dead end job to put food on the table for his wife and two lil bugs. He dreams of owning his own resteraunt. Lovely inks on this! See just the inking here..

Art Swap Guild
Hi all.
I've been keeping pretty busy with random art jobs, all pretty simple pieces and I'm just dying to do something for me! Hopefully this weekend I'll start on a painting and post some WIPs!
I'm a member of the art swap guild on DeviantArt. My swap was for a painting of someone's WoW character, the description was really sweet. I didn't have time to finish it, but I think it turned out pretty sweet anyways.
I will post my ASG image for each month. Still waiting on the judging for the Zimeta's Nivvixian Commtest.
Nivvixian Inventor: While there is a constant demand for new inventions from the royalty, he derives the most pleasure from tinkering.
The Nivixxian Coroner
Tenderly wrapping the deceased in a silk cacoon, Polistes fuscatus (The paper wasp) takes great pride in it's duties. While the creature is encased a scribe creates a lifenote, a record of the deceased deeds.
The wasp takes the enveloped corpse into the woods to the Great Web. A dangerous task, but the coroner does not mind. He has been trained to know the very hour and manner in which to approach the nest.
He leaves feeling privileged to have helped his nest-mate into eternity.

Laughin!
Tonight at 7 at the Civic center in Tecumseh is my friend Jesse Monties directorial debut with Laugh In. Scenic painting by... me!
Here're some WIPs pics! It went through a couple changes as we had to redesign the doors and a misunderstanding on the painting style. we wanted bright ciolors, but every design ppl got excited for were toned down earthy tones.

Exciting times!
I am sorry about the lateness of the post, but Wytheria has gotten bites by two different investors. There is a lot of excitement going on in my world over this. Wytheria is also an LLC now, with yours truly serving as Chief Creative Officer. Why would anyone want to be employed? Self Employed may be a lot of work, but it's 1000x more rewarding.
Anyways, I've done a little bit of sketching, but mostly (UNFORTUNATELY) I have been coding. Gotta learn Java and ASP I guess.
But I entered a DA Commtest held by http://zimeta08.deviantart.com She's an awesome colorist and has a really unique style. I recommend you check out her work.
I'm working on my dramatic lighting... failed, but at least I'm working on it :) This is my Nivvixian Inventor. Based on a death watch beatle.
